Tim Nielsen - Meeting Report
After getting settled in with our camp site. We were ready for a day of testing before the Winternationals. Our first pass was at 11:05am; the dragster left the start line with a big stumble and didn't recover and we ran 8.87 @ 152.81. Back in the pits, I decided that we would run my other carby for the next pass.
3:10pm would be our second pass. That was a long wait in the staging lanes...
The dragster felt a little lazy in the first half of the track and we only ran 8.68 @ 152.55. With only  a limited time left for the days racing we fueled up and headed back to the staging lanes for one more pass.
We hadn't had time to adjust anything and our last pass was at 5:56pm, but the air had gotten a lot better and this could effect the performance of the dragster. The dragster pretty much ran the same as the previous pass running 8.68 @ 153.65. Not a real good day of testing, as we had some real carby issues.
And to top the day off, when I got out of the dragster my foot clipped the windscreen and split it into two pieces. (lucky a video camera was not down there as my faceplant would of made for some good footage) lucky Jimmy didn't have the onboard camera running.
With 3 days up our sleeve until the Winternationals a new screen had to be made and sorting out the carby were our main concerns.

Jim Denaro - Meeting Report
Since debuting the car I haven't tried the car with the mufflers. I took this opportunity to do some testing. I gave it two passes with different jetting but the car did not like it. It seemed to slow down the ET and the car felt like it lost a little torque. It was a hard day for testing as our opportunities were limited. I had a pass at around lunchtime and the car ran 10.10 @ 135 and I put that all down to the mufflers. Our final pass was at 5:30pm and the track was getting a little cold and the air was getting better. I ran 10.01 @ 135. That was it for the days racing.
With a few days until the Winternationals I had to get my carby repaired as I had stripped the bowl screws over a period of time and it was time that they got repaired. I found a bloke named ZOK Race Carbs  near Brisbane who was able to heli coil the body and do the job right. I also took the opportunity to remove the mufflers for the Winternationals and run the car the way it has been for the past 6 months.
