Denaro - Event Report
We arrived at the track all fired up,
ready for the start of the new season. This would be the first
two day bracket meet, and we were scheduled to get four
qualifiers. After warming up the car we noticed the head gaskets
were leaking, so we had to go and get something to seal it up.
Lucky for us we had time as they started late due to the
weather.
We had our first qualifing run at 1:45pm, it didn't feel 100%,
but it was keeping its water in. We ran 9.787 @ 137.32.
Our second run was at 4:54pm and it felt a little better and ran
9.791 @ 136.91.That was it for day one, as the late start
shortened proceedings. |

On day two we got one more qualifier at
9:51am and the car was funning fine, we ran 9.756 @ 137.74, we
were ready for round one.
Round 1: saw us up against Sam
Dasnaskas in his Capri. I dialled 9.74 to Sam's 10.03. I got the
startline advantage and drove through at 9.749 for the win to
Sam's breaking out 9.979.
Round 2: I was up against Paul
Foley and I got the start and Paul broke out handing we the win.
Round 3: I dialled 9.76 tos
Sean Maher in his black HB Torana's 9.57. I stuffed up on the
startline giving up .098, we both backed off, Sean ran 9.58 to
my 9.76. Shit happens....
Thanks to my crew for a good weekend. |
