It was a busy week coming in to this as all the parts came together to get the car running on Friday with a set of new rods, rings, bearings, seals, and the crank reground, honed block,  tops of the pistons recut and the skirts coated and a big clean up of the oil system.

We headed to lanes with a fairly safe tune and some slicks that are past there best, after an interrupted burnout it ran 9.987 @ 134.07 and felt really good apart from turning the tyres a bit. Back in the pits we checked some of the vitals and with everything ok we got into the staging lanes, then the rain came down, by the time it dried out and some other stuff ups it was 5 hours after the first run. After a good burnout I was still a little down on engine temp and ran 9.945 @ 134.78. It had cooled down a bit but the humidity had gone up, we went out and had one more run, it went 9.927 @ 135.04 with a bit to much engine temp. I’m pretty happy with the car and should be good for next week with a pair of new slicks.

Thanks to my crew and see you next week…
