On Sunday morning at 11:04 am we had our fourth qualifier; a .037 reaction
followed by a Pb 60 ft time of 1.341 (maybe due to track
work after a few incidents the night before) and ran
through for a surprising 9.795 @ 135.74. At
12:42 pm it was time for
round one, we were up against the number one qualifier
Bruno Romeo in his early cortina with a 8.71 dial in to
my 9.79, and he left a cherry on the tree so I cruised
to the next round. Round two I would face Michael Little
in his Torana who won the previous track champ round in
July, he dialed 10.65 and ran 10.651 but his .143 light
to my .030 left me enough room to drive past him and
back off for the win. At 2:22 pm I was in the quarter
final against Andrew Little in his Camaro with a 9.63
dial to my 9.79, his .006 reaction time
was to good for my .048 and he was able to roll
off it to 9.672 for the win to my losing 9.816.
